Take pepper spray / mace to your appointments instead. Demobilizes the assailant while inflicting no permanent damage. Might even scare the assailant off without you needing to actually use it. Take lessons on how to use it correctly if need be. I had to use it only once in my life, and yes it was hobby-related, and I'm grateful I had it with me.

If you use a gun you might wish you were dead yourself by the time the law gets done with you even if you used it for self-defense. Not mace. There'd be a lot of screaming and cursing but as long as you get out fast you should be ok.

I think its a bad idea because if shit hit the fan with a bf or pimp, and both of you are pulling guns, my money is your to pussy to pull the trigger and he isn't. That's my opinion.
