I checked my browser and computer settings. No success.

In my recollection it seemed that at the bottom of the Forum Page in the Posting Limitations key section where it shows "BB on or off" and "IMG on or off" and "HTML on or off" etc. That there was one that said Spelling. I don't see spelling listed in there any longer. I may be wishfully thinking that it was there. I will keep trying to figure it out somehow. I miss the little red squiggly lines. LOL.

Just so everyone can relax. As a lodging facility they are required by law to uphold one thing. They cannot rent a room to anyone under the age of 18. As a mostly cash business and showing hundreds of thousands per year in revenue backup paperwork is necessary. They don't want to release your information, they will lose clients. But they require documentation to keep the business going. They must keep records of some kind. Aside from employees recognizing you and being even nicer for it there isn't any impact. Agreed. While it's understandable to have some sort of collateral against room damage or theft (or worse), it runs counter to the idea of the need for complete anonymity. Seems like just offering up some kind of cash deposit that would be returned upon leaving would serve the same purpose. WA, if you were there under previous owners, they more then likely did take your plate down every time you visited, you just didn't see them do it. They would walk out with a clip board and write it down while you were doing the nasty.

Check in now under the new owners adds more proof of accountability to you, as they now have a fairly complete record of you having been there since you register more like a normal hotel. I am sure there are certain regulations (I'm not a lawyer) covering how long they must maintain their registries after your visit as well for inspectors should they ever be audited. Could be devastating in a Divorce Case if you are on the roster week after week. I am not sure how often hotels are asked to show their registries to regulators though. I would guess only when there's some sort of issue.
