The alternative would have been to plead not guilty and taken it to trial, or see if they offer a different plea bargain. Since I didn't want to pay the fees on an actual lawyer and was using the public defenders office I wasn't going to take those chances. If you meant what is the max penalty that I was facing 6 months in jail and some fines I believe for 1st time offense is the worst.

Hey everyone you might remember I posted a couple months back about getting busted at a hotel sting in Santee. Many asked for update after I went to court and I now have that.

So the sting must have been mildly successful atleast since there were 5 other people in court the same day as me from the same sting. Basically they offered us all a diversion plan which required getting an HIV test, taking a 3 hour PIP (prostitution impact panel) class and 20 hours of community service, do all that and stay out of trouble for 18 months and everything goes away.

On top of that they added 18 months of 4th waiver for me because I had drugs on me but I was already 4th waiver from a felony previously.

Also I am on felony probation during all this and the public defender I talked to said that they did send notice to north county about my probation violation but I haven't heard anything from north county so not sure if anything is going to happen with that..

The moral of the event is what little head can do to a man.
