As has been said multiple times, don't ever use anything you can't just throw away for this hobby.

Ignore the scammers / extortionists. If they somehow DO contact your family (they won't), it's very easy for anyone with any technical knowhow to spoof your number, especially if they are only sending screenshots (but it's also pretty damned easy to do on their phone as well). If there's no evidence of this hobby on your phone, it's pretty easy to convince people that it's just a new type of scam. But it won't get that far.

I went thru something similar and it sucks. A girl figured out who I really was and attempted to blackmail and extort me. I let her know the penalty for extortion (felony, $10,000 fine per attempt to extort) and she disappeared. Cops won't care about the prostitution part. Extortion is a bigger get. Good luck.

Tried her during my early mongering years. She had a location on Kirkman. Very nice setup. Very clean, smelled nice and was very professional. Good massage for about 5-10 min. You really can't use your personal phone for so many reasons, not the least of which are some of the providers! Please get either a burner or something fake like Google Voice.

Regarding the names, I assume the perp googled your phone number and somewhere got your name (e. G. Classified ad, phone number look up). If you ever search your name on one of the engines, you are likely going to find some sites that charge you for more info. Typically, they will list a number of "contacts", some are real family members some are in error. That's likely all the scammer knows. It is possible that they also know your address based on the info they have. However, directly contacting you like that likely is more than they can handle because of the abundance of defensive arms in Florida. They are probably looking for an easy mark. How do they expect you to pay? If it is electronically, that's just another connection they get from you.

I've received plenty of messages like that and so have other mongers on here. Just ignore the jackass and block him. If you are concerned I'd use a burner number from now on so you have nothing to worry about. Since I really don't have family to be worried about I'll play along with them sometimes promising to send them money. They are looking for scared mongers that don't know any better. Be safe.

Don't engage. Ignore all the texts. Block them. The more you engage the more they have your attention and it will escalate. It is a fishing expedition and don't give them any signs of a nibble.
