I hear some of us praising agencies, and man I miss the good agencies in NJ and PA. You paid $$-$$$$; the provider was in a nice hotel, looking and smelling clean, no obvious drug or tobacco use.

The girls could hold a conversation for a few minutes. They actually had ambitions and dreams. They were polite, and knew what they were doing. They were usually between 20 and 40 years old, occasionally a bit older.

It was usually covered service, but it was good covered service, and I was married at the time, and I was fine with that. I didn't want to take anything home.

On the board I was on at the time, the agency owners would chat with us mongers, and we had a good idea of how to behave and what to do if things went wrong (which was rare).

I think the best way to describe it, compared to what we have here and now, was it was a humane way of hobbying. The girls were protected both from bad mongers and from bad habits. The gents were protected by agency owners who didn't want the flow of money disrupted. The hotels had rented rooms midweek.

And then eventually, someone would get busted, and it'd all disappear. The girls would disappear, or try to go independent with little success. The men would realize that the hobby was a bit more dangerous. And the owners would keep their mouths shut, do some time, and retire somewhere with whatever they kept.

I'm not saying that the agency model for the hobby is the only way to go. But it's damn better than what we have now. It would definitely be more expensive- agencies book less appointments than the independent girls do today (3-4 at most), and they put their girls in much better hotels than the Red Roof knockoffs of today. The screening practices would be a bit more exhaustive than what we have today.

But damn, some days, I'd like the ability to find a provider, in a clean, safe hotel, showered, polite, dressed up and made up, who is going to show me a good time, not just try to pop me as fast as possible. And it feels like that's impossible here. If it's not, I'd love to know where to go.
