If after the investigation it's proven that the guy trafficked her, in a fair and just world the dad would be released immediately.
On the other hand, if it's proven that the guy was mistaken about what the dead dude is accused of doing, he should be jailed for the rest of his life.
They're not going to fuck around with this, we probably won't have to wait too long to find out the actual circumstances.

Yes they can. They are just choosing not to so they can make a point to City Hall. Loitering laws were eliminated by unanimous decision, that DOES NOT mean they still can't go after crime. If someone is doing something wrong and it's illegal, they can stop, question and / or arrest. Again, police are just being whiny about it.
I don't understand the part of your statement about minorities, though, LOL. Going after someone just because they are a minority is absolutely wrong. Committing a crime, sure, but just for being Asian, no.
