I think I know what you are talking about. Right after the 2015 john sting, they took us to a trailer-turned-jail behind the shopping plaza on Woodward (East side of the road). One thing I will say is that the police, the judge, the parole officer I had (an older, very tall and easy going black officer) and even the city attorneys were very polite and professional; at times I almost got the feeling that a couple of the cops wanted to whisper to me, "Yeah, I know this is all bullshit but we have a job to do!

As for towing companies, they ARE a huge ripoff. Over the years, I've dealt w / them twice (non-arrest related matters) and THEY are the biggest pricks in the equation by far! During the 2015 sting however, a cop just drove my car around the block and down the street. I still had to pay to get the car out, of course, but at least I was able to get the car back immediately upon payment without have to drive to some other city and deal with the towers.

Next time you're on the stroll and think you see a decoy watch them and find out what happens.

Try to find out the name of the towing company. OR where the immediate tow truck corral / impound area is located. Then when we stroll through we check the lot or look for certain tow truck companies. Pics or video even better.

The scenario for being there is made-up in advance, "work for the big TV reporter scouting for stories. " Then ask if you can whip out the phone for a quote.

Nice idea if you need the extra safety assurance.

Also a good idea to just go through as many side streets near the stroll as possible so you can catch the marked LEO waiting to pounce. I've done that way more often.

Tell us what you know. Over time does Detroit police stick to the same block when they are running decoy's? How long are sting operations run and how many actors are involved? And when a monger's car is taken where does it go, right to impound or a local staging area for batch processing after the sting?

It would be nice to know the staging areas.

There is an ongoing corruption saga / investigation on the towing outfits and their relationships with cops. City council members have resigned based on bribes. Freep did a big story on it.

That means that any of the towing companies contracted by the city could be on location.

That's why I have said on several occasions that one had better know a little about how things happen on the streets of Detroit.

Excellent point about the finding (legal aged) young gals. Put bluntly, I'm an unattractive, overweight, middle aged guy who likes slim built 18 - 30 year old gals. People have told me before, "Find a REAL woman!" At one point, I was able to get a non-hooker / non-escort gal to come home with me once in awhile, even the hot ones. These days, I'm under no illusions! We all get old, and what ELSE is there other than SW's, dancers and / or escorts for a middle aged schmuck? "Women YOUR age?? Duh! Look in the mirror, you're no spring rooster either! I've been told in so many words. Honestly, I'd rather never have sex again than deal with THAT type of sex! .

You can shop on a stroll near you, as opposed to driving for hours out of your way. Once you make a scoop, a good SW will go wherever you want to take her, as opposed to AMPs, strippers, and escorts where you are potentially a fly into their possible flytrap.

When shopping for SWs, there's a slim chance of finding a young, homegrown newbie with no kids, no experience, and even no tattoos, as opposed to older more well-travelled chicks who've been scratched and poked by everything. Also, bareback, if that's your bag, is generally a non-discussion menu choice, as opposed to being a solid "No" item for most of the other choices.

Last point, the boys. Generally, you can spot an undercover with tinted windows, or a decoy posing as a SW and just skiddadle to a safer place to stroll, as opposed to being ambushed in a sting with your pants down, and having your mug plastered on a dry-erase board on the 5 o'clock news.

These are what I consider the benefits. There's plenty of bad that I could discuss with SWs, but there's enough of that being discussed already. The best choice, all in all, is the one that leaves you the happiest in the end.

Last night around 10 pm saw what appeared to be either two obvious decoys or very brazen SWs in Vernor and Lawndale.

One of them was even standing while sticking her bum out to the side and chewing gum, pretty stereotypical and obvious (she had a good bum tho).

Benefits? Very few. Going after SW is a super high risk for a meh reward at best. Maybe you find a unicorn but highly doubtful. I guess benefits are cost of service is usually lower and the rush / thrill can give some added pleasure benefits.

I started mongering SW at a young age with little idea what I was getting myself into. I'm lucky as hell I never got hurt, but that being said, I've been robbed once and pinched by LEO twice. I'll never pick up a SW again, probably best you just stay away as well.

Even the unicorns aren't even unicorns that long. I've had a few off Chalmers. Kendra, Brooke and a girl named Samantha Samantha never saw again. The unicorn status was very short lived.

Have you or anyone seen Cricket that used to hang out of the same apt building there off fort at the service drive with Monica. Her last comments was in February that she was strolling Vernor and then her Facebook disappeared after that and I haven't seen her out there nor even locate her with the uncle. If anybody has her contact information via phone or Facebook, PM me.

Yeah Monica really was a sweetheart of a person. I was legitimately bummed out when I saw her face on the posters people put up and then finding out what actually happened.

As far as Cricket goes, I had seen her several times but nothing recently. The last time I had seen her was at the Fort truck stop so it definitely has been a little while. If I happen to stumble upon her, I'll let you know.

For those that have been out there for a while, if any of you remember a WSW named Dee shoulder length or somewhat longer at times blond hair, petite spinner type, lived above the bar at the corner of the Ave and Addison for a while, then River Rouge. Stayed in touch with her through the years and but lost contact a few years back. Googled her name and found out that she died last June at the age of 62, Not sure the cause. Anybody that still kept in contact with her and knew what happened, please send me a PM.
