My experiences have been that I hand the girl $20 and she goes and gets the room for 1 hour. I have only used it like that about 4 times though. Other times, the girl already had the room, usually shared by 4 or 5 others. LOL.

What I don't like is that more then likely, your car will be parked in plain site out front, unless they are using the rooms on the back side, which isn't often plus for the 1 hour, they won't give that to you in my experience. If the girl is "known" she never even goes to the office if one of the owners or family are outside. They walk right up to them, pay and get the room unlocked. YMMV.

Are they now open 24 hours as is mentioned? It used to be limited hours of operation and no over nights.

The scanning of drivers licenses take it to a whole other level. I don't know why but this reminds me of the 1979 Dom DeLuise and Jerry Reed movie "Hot Stuff". Where the cops "take over" a pawn shop to catch all the bad guys. When they get there, they fix it all up and start keeping records of who comes in the by writing down the names of the patrons and also are secretly taking video of those that patronize the pawn shop. The parallel of the "Geneva" sprucing up, taking videos (via security cameras) and now scanning Drivers Licenses is too funny.

When I think of the Geneva getting their Car Tag and DL info, I think of the two scenes in the movie. One, when a guy asks why they started writing down everyone's name, they reply because that's why it's called "Organized" Crime implying they run the shop for the mob. Then when the same guy comes back later with more hot stuff and LEO gets the video camera kinks they were having worked out, the less-than-bright man isn't quite looking at the camera cleanly so Jerry Reed grabs the man's head turns and twists it to the position where his face perfectly fits in frame and holds it there. That's what it's like when handing them the license to be scanned. LOL.

I use the Geneva but haven't been since under new ownership. I think the Sands looks more promising even though I really don't like its location.

You never know, after they get all their kinks worked out and new rules implemented, you may see pull up to find a wire rack of local attraction maps, pamphlets and coupons in the lobby area and an OYO Hotel sign hanging up outside of there soon.

Well won't be using them anymore. Coming from NY, we used a place on the island for short stays plantation (1970's) , never gave real info on the sign in, and they didn't check cars unless there was a problem.

I was set to see Sugar for Trip Jacks and a Ham for one of her "specials" as I would never pay $ for a QV with someone like her. I had to hold ground on the 70 price when she kept trying to say the "special" was over even though it was an ad that was less than 4 hours old and she agreed to it when I first contacted her.

When I got half way down to where she was in Kissimmee, I opted out with her and let her know I wasn't going to make it. I realized that with her looks, she is about in line with many of the SWs out there. I decided that I could easily find another provider closer to home that is equal to or better than her for less. I was also concerned that her arguing about the rate would maybe invite all kinds of upselling. I never pay in advance so I would have walked if she pulled that with me but driving 40 minutes to come up empty would not be in my best interest.

The one thing I will give her is she took the cancellation well and even said she would honor the lower price later, even after trying to jack it up. LOL. I may give it another try one day when I see some credible posts about her actual looks and performance.
