A while back, I saw someone post tips for spotting fake ads, and I thought the advice was partly wrong, so thought I'd post this FWIW.

First, a local area code means nothing. The best non-Thalia visits I ever had were with travelling girls with non local area codes. And there are tons of suspect ads with local numbers. Anyone can get a 513 number from anywhere in the world.

I do some small business consulting and take a professional interest in how these things work. I have chatted with some women who are successful on OF. Apparently some of these guys don't know how insanely good 2014-2016 was on BP and eb. I wasn't doing anything for the prices. There isn't as much money in it as people think unless you're in at least the top 4-5%, and even in that range it isn't a ton of cash. I've seen several data points of girls around the 4-5% range and it was a couple hundred bucks a month. Hardly enough to do it exclusively and quit seeing mongers.
