Posts: 444That website is about as reliable for health info as mojovillage is for finding real providers.
The doctor cole who wrote that article also treated Covid patients with hydroxychloroquine. It wouldn't surprise me if that doctor also considered treating patients by injecting them with disinfectants like bleach after it was suggested by a certain high profile individual in a news conference.

Posts: 216So, with "only" 600,000+ dead out of 328 M people in this country, at what survival rate or how many total dead would you think it's worth the "risk" to take the vaccine?

And one thing your post hasn't taken into account are the limited hospital resources we have. I can speak first hand about seeing full ICU's and converted hospital floors with overworked staff needed to treat these patients last year at the height of the pandemic.
Do you think these "America's Frontline Doctors" will advise the people that they are telling not to get vaccinated if they do end up getting COVID and and are having trouble breathing (because their SpO2 has dropped into the 70's), "No need to call 911 or go to the hospital, you have a 99.9% survival rate. " I feel like that would only be fair to the RN's, RT's, pulmonologists, hospitalists and most importantly, the non-COVID related patients that need those ICU beds and the attention of the aforementioned staff.

I've spoken to doctors that have told me in no uncertain terms that as they see the number of COVID patients rise again, it's the unvaccinated that are getting admitted. The few "breakthrough" cases of the vaccinated are the ones that get to go home with flu or cold like symptoms. Since you brought up survival rates:

The reason that we can't beyond this and to where we need to be is because people have made public health political and continue to spread misinformation.

You guys are killing me here are the facts 99.3 percent of hospitalizations are unvaxxed people. All other cases are everybody. Here's what you guys ain't understanding it's not a vaccine it's an immunization to boost your immune system against covid no one ever said if you get the vaccine that you wouldn't get it. All it does is keep you out of the hospital and fight covid and get over it faster!

They're not telling us anything new. But what they are doing is selectively reporting numbers to deliberately misrepresent the actual risks and to propagate unnecessary fears.
No vaccine is 100% effective, but these mRNA vaccines exceeded all expectations and are amazingly effective against Covid, including the "highly contagious and deadly" delta variant. It makes me laugh that you can't hear the delta variant mentioned on the news without those words preceding it. For all practical purposes, fully vaccinated people no longer need to be concerned about Covid and can treat it just like any of the other common communicable respiratory infections that go around every fall and winter.

So even when the anti-vaxxers screech about this:

You know what that means? It means 99.93% of fully vaccinated Americans have not tested positive.
People seem to have lost the ability to apply any perspective. I have to tell you, I'm shocked at how many scientists and medical professionals we seem to have on a hooker board. lol

Posts: 1568No, go look up the numbers, I believe it's something like 98% of all new cases are non vaccinated people. Folks just want to highlight the tiny number of vaccinated people who get it to defend their "vax doesn't work / matter" narrative.

Now for real truth of all the new Hospitalizations 99.2 percent of the people are unvaccinated but of course the propaganda machine won't tell you that!

And bottom line the mask mandates are nothing more than theater to keep everyone reminded.
Of the plague around every corner.
After all. Midterms are just 15.
Months away. And THAT is the true reason for the continued restrictions.

Posts: 1568But you have a bunch of idiots that after damn near a year think the vaccine is dangerous. People create the most insane conspiracy theories. A lot of my friends use the "remember the Tuskegee experiment". WTH, they want everybody to get vaccinated, not just one group. As long as we have a huge group of people that won't get the vaccine, be ready for more BS.

Posts: 444Your body "adjusts" by being exposed to the virus and developing antibodies and immunity. For anybody who's been vaccinated or had Covid, it already is just like a common cold! And since vaccines are now readily available to anybody that wants one, there is no need for any more mandates!
