Many people have been getting these blackmail texts over the last year. I had one and instantly called the DPD, which they remarkably responded in a reasonable time (out of character for them). They turned it over to a detective and he pretty much told me that is a person that they can't trace as they're using a burner phone. You can generally pull up someone's basic information by doing a quick Google search. Using a fake name and a burner phone will still get you in trouble if you get caught.
