Lately I get asked more and more for a deposit which I refuse. I did it once via PayPal for $50 and never heard from her again.

The next time I actually purchased a gift card (EBay gift card) and she simply wanted the last four digits of the card number and a picture of the back. Bad idea. Turns out the rest of the number is clearly printed in another area of the card. She then told me she could not offer services at the price negotiated and that I needed to get a second card for $50 more. I quickly cancelled the cc I used to purchase the gift card. Do not ever give a deposit and always use cash. No exceptions.
