Well there's a first time for everything. This lady just robbed me blind -- $100. I foolishly texted her and arranged to meet up, without doing much research beforehand. I show up at a larger house on the far east side (kind of a red flag, but I decided to enter the house anyway). She takes me to her room, I put the money on the dresser, she takes it and immediately leaves. Tell her In not so many words that she is extorting you which is a felony. Tell her your lawyer will also file civil charges for extortion and take any penny she has. Then say or we can agree to walk away. My next call is to the police and my attorney. Pm me if you want more advice. Save all the texts / evidence.

Had similar scenario 5 years ago, I use a secondary phone now. I did change my number but I should have hung on to it, just block the number, they won't follow through. There are so many scams nobody, including your wife will believe.

A prepay phone from Walmart works great for most hobbying. You can set up the phone with a fake name and it looks like a real phone when they do a number search, just use the fake name when contacting providers. The only times it won't work is if the provider requires other verification that gives your real name.
