Appearances can be deceptive especially when we're all settling for streetwalkers that are in bad shape and especially at night. Also its not that hard for some of them to have surgery to modify their voice and some guys actually don't have deep voices so you can't rely on that either. Better safe than sorry as this poor monger can attest to!

The other way to tell is the difference in index to ring fingers (see https://www.sciencemag.org/news/2019...ity-and-health) although harder to gauge unless you ask specifically to look at their outstretched hand palm up.
