If any ladies had the ability to get on unemployment then the federal $300 weekly booster money runs out on Sept 6. Have friends with small businesses and they have had people work 1 day and then quit and get on unemployment (reason for quitting, felt unsafe due to Covid). It has just changed in SC where those drawing unemployment (State plus Federal) have been required to apply for jobs electronically. Again, they send in a resume, accept the job, but never show. State of SC is saying that you must at the minimum show proof of application. As of Monday, there were 30,000 folks that didn't even bother with that and they indeed may get cut off. Lots of ways to game the system and the point being it may be closer to the fall before most of this fraud shakes out. If the system is similar in GA then it can definitely drive behaviors.

I just look at the economics of it, right now its a combination of things, left over stimulus money and "independent contractors" eligible for unemployment. If you don't have a job like a SW you can clean your neighbors apartment 1 time for 20 bucks and now you are an independent business owner, so now you can claim there is no more work and collect unemployment. That is exactly what my neighbors wife did, she hasn't worked in years but was told how to get the unemployment anyways.

I do usually 3-4 independent contracting gigs outside my full time job each year, they are small, total time 4 days but it's enough that I have to claim it, I was told that because I worked as an independent during covid I am eligible for a ppp forgivable loan, I even contacted a small bank that was advertising "get your ppp loan here" and sure enough I'm eligible. Now I don't want any part of it as I don't want to mess with loans even if they say its forgivable."

Now think about these street girls that are hustlers, most of them have criminal records and are up for anything that "might make them money". I don't know how the streets will make a recovery unless the government keeps throwing money around. Now this applys to SW's and the trash on LC.
