The agencies also much more often will bring in fresh talent. So while there are some SOLID indies, You're going to get better overall combo of looks / price / performance / variety from the agencies. That's why they get most of the chatter. And well deserved, IMO. At least w / are / t the two big agencies in UTC (FarEastCuties and SDAsianGirls). Some of the others frequently mentioned are a little more hit and miss (IMO).

I wouldn't count on building any rapport with indies to the point where you get extras / freebies / etc. Though it DOES happen, 99% of the guys that tell you that stuff are BS'ing. So prob not a good idea to visit indies with the idea that you will at some point get more "bang" for your buck. Even if you do step up from the indies normal / reg rates, you're likely only to get on par with what the agencies offer (except in EXTREMELY rare cases, which again. You shouldn't expect).
