Posts: 92RE Texas is the first state to make buying sex a felony.
No worries, Texas is controlled by the same party that brought fester / siesta in 2018. Maybe they can take it on the road in 2024.

I doubt it.

SA's aggressive official stance against prostitution also helps them, as does the fact that the swing the ban stick at the slightest provocation.

That's been out there and confirmed for several months. Word is that the prosecutors have screen shots of Greenberg's SA profile in their evidence.

Same logic as the war on drugs, which has proved to be so successful. Lets hope this idea doesn't spread.

Posts: 215With the words used by the people mentioned in the article, I wonder if the unnamed website Greenberg and Gaetz used was SA.

Posts: 872Remember that Cops and Prosecutors and Judges and Juries aren't naive idiots
Think it through, and remember that the police and prosecutors are at least as well-informed about the hobby, practices, and going rates as all of us are. How many of us know exactly what the price is for FS &c and also know, through experience, to bring only the exact amount of money you are willing to spend? So if you are bare-ass-naked on the massage table at CeCe's Spa and you just have your ID and $160 in cash on you, the cops are going to reasonably infer that you were there to fuck. Is that enough for a conviction? I don't know. But certainly they can use that information to arrest you. And while you might well win in court, you'll probably pay a lot of money for the privilege that you'd probably rather spend elsewhere. A successful criminal defense that goes to trial will probably set you back $20 grand or more. And if you lose they are going to come down on you very hard.

In general it is a stupid idea to lie to or even bullshit the cops. While they may not be able to prove that you were lying to them, they will still know it and that will give them license to fuck with you. And you certainly won't enjoy it.
Obligatory funny story: I had a regular some years ago, and made it a practice to give her both the house fee and the tip when I first got to the room so she could just come back and get busy. Well, as luck would have it after she took my money and left the room the cops came in. So there I was, bare-ass naked in the room with my ID and fifteen bucks. The following conversation ensued:
Officer: what were you thinking coming here with only fifteen dollars?
Me: well, if the lady gives me a good massage I like to leave a nice tip.
Officer: you are the biggest motherfucking idiot in the world. And you are free to go.

Posts: 147Okay I would like to talk about this. So, ummm, why exactly? You obviously need cash at a massage parlor, the door itself might say "cash only" and just because you are or were there doesn't at all mean that you were doing anything illegal. Maybe things are happening in some other rooms, but that does not mean at all you either were doing something illegal or that you knew what was happening in a different room. Can't you just tell them you were here to get a massage? As far as being (possibly) naked well, yeah, it was a massage obviously.

Posts: 872Those are all nice but probably won't help you at all.
If you get caught at an incall or an MP with a bunch of cash on you or even near you you are pretty much fucked.

Posts: 242Just remember, never talk money in person. When you meet up, don't hand them any $$, just set it down somewhere on the floor or table. No verbal acknowledgement. If you don't physically hand them $$ you can pull the defense "I didn't pay for anything". May or may not work but it is about the only work around.
