So, I'm still very new to Sa and figuring how things typically work. I have had a few successes, but I'm finding out that there are a lot of times things don't pan out. Many times there's not even a response to a message. Just looking for maybe some tips or pointers. For those of you that have had a lot of success with the site:

What kind of first message gets the best responses?

Also, anyone else had any girls that agreed to meet and end up not showing to a meet and greet? I'm talking they didn't get any money or anything and they are just a no show and then just disappear. Seems strange to me. Wondering if that's common.

There are plenty of flakes, sometimes the fish are biting and sometimes they don't. Re messaging, try to make a comment about her profile in the opening line and keep things light and a bit of humor always helps. Keep replies short, maybe just a sentence or two.

If you want to increase your odds message girls 23 plus who have been on the site for a year or more.

That said, I have a decent rotation these days so I'm looking for a certain type of girl hopefully as fine or finer than any in the current group or stands out in some way. So I take some long shots and don't mind taking some time to groom the right girl.

First off, if its too good to be true, it most likely is. My best advice I can offer is to get a verification pic. Ask them to hold up a small piece of paper with your name on it, and take a selfie. 99% of the scammers will bail, or balk at this point, cause they are fake. If they can't or won't do it, just move on. Most girls that are serious will do it in a heartbeat.

NEVER send money to them before meeting. I don't care what the story, its a lie.

I almost never do meet and greets, so I can't offer much advice, other then don't give them money for just meeting you. If you want to buy them dinner and drinks like a date, go for it. But there are girls on SA that will make a career out of just meeting dudes for free stuff and money for not doing a damn thing.

I only deal in cash, I never send anything digital. Keeps them from asking you to send them money all the time for nothing in return.

Be ready to strike now. Lots of girls are looking for someone soon, they have bills to pay. Don't drag it out. Chat with them a bit, move them to text as soon as possible. Once on text, be friendly, but start asking the questions to set it up.

Yes it can be common. You will eventually see the signs of who is a flake, a fake, or trying to get you to send them money through cash app. There are some great girls out there but you have to do some digging through the weeds. My advice is to be upfront and to the point of what you want. There are 1000 different types of arrangements and its best to cut bait quickly if it is not what you want.

Go to the Richmond, VA board, scroll down, in user blog section find the "sugar baby thread highlights.... " blog. The SB blog in RVA was the original SB board on USASG and still acts as a national SB comment site. Someone excerpted all of the "how to" info over the years from the SB blog. Best education on this site, if one wants to spend some time on it.
