I just disagree with your notion that the prices were any cheaper "a few years ago. " If you are talking about decades ago or something, then maybe you have a point. But the prices at the K-girl shops, xoc, and other mid / mid-high tier places have remained the same or increased slightly. The largest change has been in independent providers moving their prices up which always happens as the market finds new equilibrium. The rate increases are intentional. They are consciously attempting to filter out men who complain about rates because such men are more likely to be cheap, classless, misogynistic, or dirty. Yeah in general I thought his advice was very on point. Money isn't a big deal to me and I'd definitely prefer something closer to the real deal. After doing some looking (both here and elsewhere) I'm leaning towards independents. Josephine, Lixia / Sela / Edelweiss, Lynn, etc. (when available). I don't know about anyone else here, but I can't afford $400 for a provider. And even if I could, I'm not paying $400 for services which would have cost $100-150 a few years ago.
