Maybe! I know of more than a few screw-ups and crooks with a license or certification who have had it for more than 20 years, yet nothing happens to them. Since when did it become OK for big government to tell people what work they can or can not do? The whole idea that some higher-up "experts" or "elites" will decide what is best for everybody (usually except them and their friends), has never worked. Providing phony-baloney "training classes" and various conventions with sessions which grand CEUs has become big business. All of it just adds cost and prevents peole who might be excellent from getting into many fields.

Decided to check this place out after reading the below mentioned review. They have rooms on the right when you walk in, so not sure if they have remodeled since you went. It's a crap move and makes things worse for all of us. It's right up there with the assholes who thinks it's great fun to promise "I will take care of you", get their action and then tip a few bucks and run out the door. While I can appreciate the "thrill" of it -- and considered it myself during my younger days -- age does bring wisdom.

The girls get suspicious and paranoid, the service goes down hill and we all suffer. Many of the girls do know about these sites, and do talk to each other.

None of the occupational licenses or certifications help with quality. They are designed to limit competition, nothing more. Yes, they make a show about quality, but it never works that way. Name the licensed or certified occupation, and it is easy to find people with the license or certification who are either incompetent, crooks, or both. Do you know about Institute for Justice, a great organization which fights for freedom and opportunity and against stuff such as crazy license / certification schemes? They help with quality to a certain extent. The massage certification means they went to an accredited massage school and got at least 500 hours of training and passed the exam, which is very difficult. Are there people who can give a decent massage with little training? Of course. But do they have the in-depth anatomical knowledge they need to really be healers? If you go into a place with extreme lower back pain, a worker in an AMP probably isn't going to figure out that it's referred pain from the gluteus medius and she needs to do trigger point to release an adhesion.

Yes, you get incompetents in any licensed profession. Lawyers, all that means is they went to law school and passed the bar. Same with doctors. But the license does give accountability. There's an organization they have to answer to if they royally screw up. And in the massage world, yes, that means it's a lot harder for the types of places discussed on this site to stay open because there's a massage board that actually has some enforcement teeth. As I mentioned, I don't think AMPs will go away. Almost all other states have a massage license, and they all still have MPs. But the landscape will likely change somewhat.
