I think most of us are sick of this social justice warrior, virtue signaling nonsense. Surprising that some on here who participate in this hobby are OK with the current cancel culture.

I'm surprised some in here actually support the current culture. Let that sit for a minute. Because neither side likes using here. SMH. The do good life is so important that, blue lives matter racist that killed cops on 1-6 decry or hobby, along with the tree hugging social cops on the left that claim or hobby is trafficking. So buying what they selling that's all I'm saying. It's a distraction and they get rich off of it because we let it happen.

In theory, if not in practice, there are limiting principles in place for the police. They can do X but not why. Criminals don't recognize limiting principles. That makes them more frightening.

Frankly, I'm more inclined to avoid the city in general, the level of craziness has increased so much, and there's no end in sight, IMO.

That's not to say that something tasty can't lure me in, but I definitely give it more thought.

This is due to: the complete demoralization of the police due to the de-fund bullshit and the impossibility of of using any sort of force against minorities without the media and brass shitting on the police; a state's attorney more interested in "social justice" than prosecution; and the recently passed and signed no cash bail law. These all look to make things worse, rather than better.

And this is part of why cardates are less interesting to me. I still follow this thread, I still ask questions, but I'm not sure I'll ever act on any of it.

Worried? Yes. Just take extra precautions. Know where you are parking. Keep an eye on what is going around you. If she is doing an especially good job and has you rolling your head in ectasy, I'd remember you are supposed to be paying attention to what is going on around you

But in today's climate, carjackings are an extra level of danger. I know some of of you are van denizens. Good for you! Make sure the doors are locked.
