It becomes "McNichols" at EB Telegraph but it's still referred as 6 Mile Rd by many just as 5 Miles Rd is referenced to Fenkell. It's overall in reference to the other mile roads north of them.

McNichols and Six Mile are simply two names for the same road. It was Six Mile first, then renamed for a former president of the University of Detroit.
