Couldn't they provide all those resources without handing out an arrest record? I mean if some of these women were actual victims of human trafficking, and sex workers of their own volition, then odds are they were forced into the life. How is an arrest record and being put into the system supposed to help these ladies? I mean I know the cops and the city just tack on the term "human trafficking victim" for optics, but it Just adds insult to injury if you ask me.

With the pandemic, I've severely limited my business travels and I've spent most of my time at my place in Florida. I look forward to spending more time in Ohio again this spring.

I just read a report that you might be interested in reading. The fraudulent and unconstitutional actions in Jupiter, Florida sent shock waves over the entire country and terrified massage parlor owners everywhere. Every time a massage parlor is raided, we hear untruthful claims by law enforcement about a bold fight against Human Trafficking. It's rare that an AMP owner is able to fight back because not many people have the recourses to properly defend themselves against local prosecutors that have higher political goals.

I have never experienced Human Trafficking at an AMP in this country. That's not to say that it has never happened but the narrative used after a raid is bullshit. The truth is that most raids are the result of neighborhood complaints and local officials respond by closing the business. There is not any real investigation, but the media sure paints a saintly picture of our crusaders.

Not sure if it's the case here, but I've heard from SW advocates that having condoms on you can carry that charge as well. I see a few articles about it in Pitt, but don't know if it's made it's way here or not.

Cash in your pocket or wallet can also cause a charge of criminal tools. As you can use it to pay for services.

It's a charge they try to add-on so at least one sticks or you'll plead down.

Now, I have seen episodes of "to catch a predator" and the condoms are criminal tools in the males they arrest. One more reason why I don't use condoms.

As far as phones, I use an app called textplus. Probably not as private as a separate burner phone.

Yes, I assume the criminal tools are the cell phones. That charge is a higher level misdemeanor than the solicitation charge plus LE can seize the phone as evidence. After the case is adjudicated, you might get the judge to order it returned to you. I wonder how many of those guys arrested were using real burner phones.

There is big money in Human trafficking.

For law inforcenforcement anyways. They label everything Human trafficking anymore. They have watered down the words. Money allocated for Human trafficking gets used up for their Play for play stings. Meanwhile there is never any Human trafficking rings taken down. That would require some real effort.

I don't understand where this was conducted. Liberty Township is near Cincy but it appears this happened in the Youngstown area.

Many Counties in Ohio have a township named Liberty.
