I don't know what's become of this scene. The fact are that the shutdowns and human trafficking all started under the Obama administration. It doesn't help that one of it's biggest zealots is Maura Healy. The feds incentivized this crackdown.

You would think a feminist like her would be pushing to legalize sex work in Massachusetts. Unfortunately, I can envision the process, state politicians make "fact finding" trips to Vegas, (even though its every county outside Reno and Vegas) like they did to Colorado for marijuana fact finding. So, they take a tax payers, paid for vacation, discover all the tax money, (and gov control) that they can use to benefit themselves politically, and overlook that even in Colorado only 50% of marijuana sales are thru legal shops. Same for state sponsored sex workers vs street woman. Only concern would be if we had to show an I'd to enter a legal AMP or similar. Those records would be used against anyone who had a gripe against a politician. (or worse, tried to run against them, then all of a sudden, the new candidate's paid sex time would be made public. Worse, how much in taxes would be added on to services? And would the state set a minimum wage? (so no competition). Later, a lib judge would decide that sex criminals are eligible for free sex services, and that those services would be paid for by the new tax charged on legit customers.
