In the past, the reason why senior members would ask newbies to post a review before asking questions was this was a way to make a LEO check. It wasn't meant for seniors to be assholes to newbies. It was a way to make sure that person was legit.

My opinion on the matter is this: Often times, some posters only ask for info and never share any. Sharing is what the site is about. With that said, if someone is asking for info on a first post, or has made 4 posts all asking for info etc. They have not yet earned any credibility, and have not contributed at all. More importantly, it shows a lack of effort in reading and scrolling to get their question (s) answered. There is plenty of info already being provided, all they have to do is search, scroll down a thread, and they would have an excellent starting point. People are very generous about sharing info, but, you can't just show up and start asking without first making an effort to research the threads yourself, or without providing any reviews yourself. It is pretty simple. You work, then you get to eat. This site may be a microcosm of that. Don't put your hand out without first making an effort and don't put your hand out asking for food if you did not contribute to the planting or harvesting. Most guys are ok on this site and are helpful. Don't take the shortcuts first.

Even though I have a lot of comments, those are due more to many years of being here more than actual experience in a lot of areas. As mentioned previously, I not very familiar with the online experience. I am torn between the great times some comment on and the many forms of ripoffs. Yes, I am cash short. It might even be worth it from time to time if I could be reasonably assured of a good date. But I also have memories of what the streets used to be like. I live south of the city. In a different time. I saw a lot of action on Chicago Road in the Heights and in the forest preserves. And some of the talent was actually decent, it wasn't all about drug-crazed loonies. When I came up to the city there were many areas. My favorite was North Avenue between Pulaski and Kedzie. There was literally a girl on every corner late at night. Sometimes there were several on the same corner as there were more girls than corners. Many of the girls made a decent living with steady streams of regular customers.
