There's absolutely no need to reveal anything about your car. Info could even be used to break into it or tamper since they know you will be occupied. With all the carjacking going on right now it's a red flag to really consider. If anything they could ask what you have on to identify you but not so much for your car. Only reasoning I can see is to make sure you're not in a police car but that doesn't stop that or if they are in a high rise and are helping communicate with valet.
