I'm sure there are some people without health care that are healthy. My point was that the health care system on a whole (not individual scenarios) is poor and has been for years. And that simply has part again PART to do with the 3 reasons I listed as to why clearly the United States has more COVID-19 cases and Deaths than any other country.

And it definitely plays a factor in why the United States is in this situation. Along with the fact that we are the most generally obese country in the world and the fact that a large percentage of people don't listen to science and steps that can be taken to help mitigate or prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Posts: 732The biggest ignorance stems from the likes of comments as this. Each side has asshats who are too stupid for their own good. The insinuation that "ALL" Trump supporters or from anyone assuming "ALL" Biden (or Democrat) supporters all think alike and do the same, blah blah is pure ignorant bullshit. This is a perfect example of why people can't get along and the party wars will never die. Being a smart guy you claim to be, you'll understand it basically derives from the two main political parties and thus, resulting in one or the other. Many people who vote for one candidate may not like the attitude, demeanor, character, etc. Of a candidate, but will vote for them if they believe their ideas, agenda or platform is better than the other. After all, it's one or the other and why waste a vote on another party who doesn't stand a chance. Thus, to assume and state "ALL" who voted for one, is completely asinine. Both parties got us in this mess, why do the fools believe it is they who will get us out?

Yes, my point was only on one point. So?
Using terms such as "inadequate" isn't at all enlightening. Is my $45 Specialist Copay an indication my coverage is inadequate? Or if I make high six figures, is my $2500 deductible indicative of an inadequate plan?
Stats applicable only to a pandemic recession are hardly sound footing to make broad generalizations about the Healthcare market.
You haven't mentioned that a large number of the uninsured are healthy, younger people, voluntarily electing to go uninsured. Remember the ACA mandates directed at them?

Or my personal favorite is when they say influenza virus kills the same number of people as COVID-19 does every year. What a bunch of fucktards.
How's that wall looking?
How's that better health care working out?
How's draining the swamp going?
How's the economy?
More people underneath or associated with Trump have been arrested, investigated, indicted or just flat out locked up then under any presidential leadership by far! Donald Trump put Scott Pruitt and now Andrew Wheeler in charge of the Environmental Protection Agency for fuck sake. Neither one of them believe in science or global warming. Scott Pruitt was one of the biggest lobbyists of the EPA before being appointed and Andrew Wheeler is a major supporter of the fucking coal industry. Jesus Christ what the fuck is wrong with these fucking idiots. It's 2020 for fuck sake and there are still Bible thumping ignorant ass people trying to support coal mining? The head of the EPA is supposed to have the Environments best interest in mind not the complete opposite.
This country is more divided then it ever has been. And it's getting worse. Our government is currently trying to pass a much needed stimulus bill before shutdown and one of the major roadblocks is the 160 billion for the Wall. Really? People are out of work. The economy is in the shitter. People need money now. And they are still trying to fund this fucking wall. WTF is going on. Do these morons not realize that the drug cartels have been tunneling under ground for like 4 decades? They dug Chop out of prison. What the fuck is a wall going to do? I just can't deal with the fucking stupidity. Meanwhile businesses are going under left and right. But fuck them. Let's build that wall is the goal for the GOP.
On a side note. SmoothDriver you need to understand that insinuating that all white people are " inbread lemming republicans " is wrong. While I understand what your saying AND where your coming from, part of the racial divide and problems in this country comes from both sides. A lot of white people need to stop being racist. But black people need to stop assuming we are all racist too. One should never paint the picture of another race with such broad strokes. Just saying.

Posts: 47A look at more than the first source.
Besides the fact that the only thing you pointed out about my post was a minor detail. Your reply is also incorrect or should I say partial information. You see, just because at the time of the last census it was 8. 5 percent it doesn't tell the entire story.

This came from an article found on the following link.
https://www.commonwealthfund.org/pub...-2020-biennial#text=In%20 the%20 first%20 half%20 of%202020%2 C%2043.4%20 percent%20 of%20 USA, uninsured%20 rate%20 was%2012.5%20 percent.
Just like when you see an article or story in the news. You should always check more than one source my friend. Don't just take the first bit of information you find and assume it to be factual.
More importantly you miss the real point. And that is that because our health care system sucks for a plethora of reasons the average citizen doesn't take care of themselves in a prevention measure its typically more of the emergency measure which leads to health problems being worse because they weren't taken care of in the early stages. As well as the fact that people that are overweight are inherently going to have a higher probability of having health issues. And that is more importantly the message I was trying to get across.

Death rates aren't everything. You can survive and have lasting debilitating affects of a disease that isn't fully understood yet in terms of its long term consequences. Anecdotally, I know 2 people my life who technically have recovered from COVID but one still can't taste anything and the other is out of breath much faster than he otherwise would've been (it's been affecting his exercise regimen and makes him more fatigued throughout the day).

An estimated 27.5 million people, 8. 5% of the population, went without health insurance in 2018. That was an increase of 1. 9 million uninsured people, or 0. 5 percentage point.
More people were covered by Medicare, reflecting the aging of the baby boomers. But Medicaid coverage declined. The number of uninsured children also rose, and there were more uninsured adults ages 35-64.

First let's talk about the definition of science.
(Definition of science.
1: the state of knowing: knowledge as distinguished from ignorance or misunderstanding).
Perhaps you should read the part about knowledge vs ignorance. Science is the study of FACT. Period.
Have you been on the World Health Organization website? Let me put a link here for you.
https://www.who.int
On this website it clearly debunks the common statement by many an ignorant person I've heard say " The flu kills that many people every year ". In the year 2018 and 2019 influenza killed 35 K people in those 2 years combined. COVID-19 has killed 300 K in the United States alone. Now I know your going to reply with some ignorant ass comment like " those numbers are all fake " or hospitals are reporting every cause of death as COVID-19 ". Which simply is not true. Even if HALF of those 300 k deaths are " misreported " its still 150 k people in the US alone. The United States has the highest death numbers in the World. Next to us is India and Brazil. Now please tell me that your dumb ass doesn't think the entire World is in on some big hoax together?? Because if that is the case then your just a fucking retard.
What I find most interesting about fucktards like you is that at no time have you stopped and actually thought about why COVID-19 is hitting the United States so hard. Well let's think about it. What do we know about who is at risk to die from it? Older people, people who can't or won't be told what to do because they are smarter then scientists.
People with underlying health issues like being overweight or high blood pressure, or asthma or diabetes etc etc.
Now what do we know about the people of the United States? Number 1. You can't tell us shit (cause this is Amuurriccaa) which means anti maskers (maskholes) and people that ignore what we are told to do in order to help mitigatethe spread of COVID-19! Number 2 we are the most glutinous country in the world, over 70 percent of our population is considered to be overweight. Number 3, our fucking health care system is a joke. It sucks. And half the people in the United States don't even have health care because they can't afford it. So what do we get when you combine those three things with COVID-19? A whole lot of dead people! And I can't for the life of me understand why all you fucking idiots don't get it. It's really that simple.
But by all means genius, keep talking out the side of your cock holster like the entire Republican party that thinks they know better. By the way, remember after the first shut downs and the numbers went way down, all the Republicans wanted to open it back up because it was stupid to close things down? Well we opened everything back up and look where it fucking got us. Worse then it was in the spring. So that shoots that whole theory to shit. Thanks though. Not really. Because of all you assholes that insisted on us opening everything back up now we can't spend the holidays with our loved ones. Fanfuckingtastic! Thanks. All because God forbid we do what it takes!
And lastly just so I can save you from further embarrassments when you reply to this and insinuate that I must be African American. I am white. I live in Shelby Township and I can't can't stand all these Trumper out here that think they know everything and in reality all they do is regurgitate ignorant misinformation because they think it makes them look smart.

Posts: 206Wow. You know me so well. I never watch CNN. I don't care about the frapping politics of this. People are losing everything, dying, have a feeling hopelessness and your harping on CNN. FYI. I haven't been to work since March because of this thing. Yes, there is science behind this. No its not the flu. I hope you never have to experience first hand what so many have because of this virus.
