With an untrusted provider it's always wise to leave your wallet and even your phone locked hidden in your car if possible. Just go to the room with the exact amount of cash you need and your keys. I will add to this with a suggestion:

Regardless of where I park, I also leave my keys with my car. On the top of one of the tires.

I agree. Never bring more than the agreed amount for the donation. And as discussed before, one should always bring their own condoms just in case. But I take it a step further.
