Unless, there is a way you can retract the funds somehow. Let's say, after all your protocols, you feel good enough to move forward, and you make said deposit that stays in some kind of pending status for certain period of time, and you still have total control of it (remember, it is a pre-payment for service not yet rendered, so it's your money).
