There is always a case of stereotyping, but it really comes down to the fact that it's a seller's market in the DC area. By and large, the agencies are generally inundated with well-paying clients so they can choose to be picky. K / C-girl and ACS also have high rates of Asian patronage so it's not like they need to go out and expand the pool. It's the same reason they more readily accept older guys; it's less intense, the guys are kinder / more grateful to the girls, and (most importantly) they are less likely to stir shit up due to their own personal situations. As such, they set up generally barriers to weed out those with the highest potential for causing problems. Our system is set up in such a way that the owners won't generally get jailed for a long time or deported, but just that they will have to pay a ton of money to "deal" with any legal issues. The final reason is that the girls also have their own preferences. Remember, this is a business and when they are selecting girls, the girls have their own preferences / rules when signing up. At least for k-girls, most of them are coming here after "retiring" in Korea. Luckily, the US is well-paying, doesn't have the same concerns about the girl's age, and tend to appreciate different looks / body types so these girls can get a new lease here for a bit.

I helped a k-girl agency with some technical consulting (friend of a friend of friend-type networking) and talked to the agency owners about it. I'm not sure if all of this correct, but it's just what I was told.
