During the Presidential debates Trump was asked by debate moderator Chris Wallace to disavow white supremacy. Trump did not denounce any far-right or white supremacist groups. He asked them to "stand back and stand by. " The very next day, the Proud Boys, a far-right extremist group, pledged allegiance to Trump. This will go down in the history books as giving marching orders to paramilitary right wing groups to disrupt voting and then following a close election, use armed force to destroy American Democracy.
