Sorry that happened to you bud. That sucks. Not going to preach about my opinion of any advance payment. You probably already know. The only way to look at this is it is a learning experience and thanks so much for sharing here.

Hmm. That seems like a pretty elaborate scam only to bilk someone out of money for a room. If I may inquire, how much was the partial donation you gave her? I hope it wasn't more than the cost of a cheap room.
