I worked at a hotel a long time ago in college, no one is paying attention to that stuff. Front desk staff isn't paid much and the last thing they want is a confrontation or to piss off a guest and have them make a complaint. They're there to check people in and out and are well aware that there is a ton of crazy things going on at hotels that is none of their business.
