Hate to be the bearer of bad news but Follies is officially closed and won't be reopening. I can't give all the details but one of the managers confirmed this today.

Damn I've not been living in Atlanta for almost 5 years now. Now living out in Los Angeles, but saw on my timeline a news story about Follies being closed for good so had to come back to this part of the forum. I guess it it's the end of an era. Follies was definitely the best bang for you buck for a number of years. For most of my many years living in Atlanta I lived pretty close to Follies although in the last 2-3 years of my living in Atlanta I slacked up going in since it was just too crowded. I guess it got too popular for it's own good which brought with it the crowds and more unsavory types. I still remember when I first started going back in 2005 when it was still very mixed, but was the go to spot for anyone wanting Latinas which is really my thing LOL. I'm not up on the Atlanta strip club scene these days, but hopefully you guys have another good replacement. Just this time hopefully it can stay a bit more lowkey.

I'm not much into Follies myself. I remember a large line to get in about 2000-2002, but that was rare. Iirc, we pulled in the parking lot, and then left. I think the management of Follies might have a fight on their hands they can't talk about right now. Probably for the best it is closed now with the stories that were coming out.

I agree that clubs can move around, but it is rare. In those rare cases, it may be the club moves in actual name (with same or different mgmt) or management / staff move to another location and change or assume a different club name. In either case, the club is not the same as previous, whether it be price, offered service, or just general ambiance of the club.

Based on what you state about Follies, it obviously was not the same when they relocated (if they in fact did). I'm not even a fan of Follies but I know it's been "rocking" for more than a few years and is far removed from a club where strippers go to "retire".

I have had a couple air dances in my times at Strokers but if its a new girl I normally tell them what I expect before we begin to avoid any confusion. Most say fine, no problem and a few girls (newer girls) will say they are not comfortable dancing for me. OK, next. On the sense of entitlement regarding drinks, I have gotten that about 30-40% of the time in virtually every club I have been to (yes, I'm only dancing AA ladies). I don't mind buying a drink and buy plenty but I get a little irritated when its top shelf liquor, double shots, shots of Patron, or shots or Hennessy with a moscato back and they can barely say thank you. I chalk it up to experience and usually end up avoiding this dancer as other options become available. The ones that try to gouge you for as big a drink tab as possible have always been the same girls that continue with the same attitude outside the club in my experience. Thanks for the good report.

Actually the Cheetah moved around once. It used to be on Peachtree rd back in the 80's and 90's.
