Actually the Cheetah moved around once. It used to be on Peachtree rd back in the 80's and 90's.

Posts: 674As I remember, the follies on Buford was the same dump of a club that the follies in downtown was. Both were the last place that dancers went to when they got too old and plumped up. My one time in the follies in downtown, it was a boring no touch club. That one trip was in 1989. Follies on Buford, I remember being there in 1991. It is that closeness of times that lead me to believe that they were the same club back then. Follies as a rocking club has only been in the last few years.

Posts: 881Does your memory also recall if that possible Follies downtown club the same as the currently located Follies club? I'm almost certain the answer would be "no". No club I have EVER seen relocated was the same as the previous club.

So, why hasn't Follies re-opened. Covid? Legal issues?

Posts: 674If my memory serves me correctly, at one time, Follies was in downtown. I'm guessing that Emory hospital bought the building that they were in. That was in the 1980's. Not sure if it was the same people or not. I suspect that these places can move around. Sure, local do gooders can make their life hard. I bet somebody Else is interested in rent, selling commercial property, and tax revenue.

I have had a couple air dances in my times at Strokers but if its a new girl I normally tell them what I expect before we begin to avoid any confusion. Most say fine, no problem and a few girls (newer girls) will say they are not comfortable dancing for me. OK, next. On the sense of entitlement regarding drinks, I have gotten that about 30-40% of the time in virtually every club I have been to (yes, I'm only dancing AA ladies). I don't mind buying a drink and buy plenty but I get a little irritated when its top shelf liquor, double shots, shots of Patron, or shots or Hennessy with a moscato back and they can barely say thank you. I chalk it up to experience and usually end up avoiding this dancer as other options become available. The ones that try to gouge you for as big a drink tab as possible have always been the same girls that continue with the same attitude outside the club in my experience. Thanks for the good report.

Posts: 207I think they are. I watched a news clip where a couple of girls were complaining that men were "molesting" and raping strippers while the club did nothing. The city of Chamblee also wants them out. I also feel they might see a class action lawsuit coming from the dancers too.

Strokers.
Yea this second visit, was more like what I usually encounter with black girls and is why I avoid them. The girl I danced with told me "she doesn't grind" and that I'd have to get lots of dances before she grinds. Well, unfortunately for her, I'm not an idiot. I don't need to earn the privilege of you touching me, you need to please me so I dance with you. So I ended the dance immediately and gave her 10 $ because I didn't have change for a 5. She then tried to make me pay for a drink she ordered when we were talking. The nerve of this buffoon, I told her I never said I'd pay for it, she threw a fit and I walked away, and then just left because this is what black girls do so often. Act retarded, only experience that sort of garbage on the rarest of occasions with other women. I said I'd visit strokers 3 times before making a conclusion, but I honestly don't know why I'd chance it, when other places have girls that are just as / even more attractive with no attitude problems or games. I understand strokers works for other respect members, but I will not be going back.
Platinum.
Still the next best thing, or really the best thing since follies is gone. Natalia and Diana will make you explode anytime, anyplace with a smile and a kiss. But basically all the day shift girls will, these two just seem to be the best at doing it. Night shift girls are very hit or miss, I've stopped going in the night because I get way too many air dances from night shift girls.
Rumors.
I heard someone bring up rumors? Don't be fooled, it's a terrible club, do not go. You have been warned.

In my lengthy experience, I have NEVER seen a club relocate. If the owners opened another club, it will not be the same type of club in any capacity. What typically happens, is what already has. Bartenders, bouncers and girls migrate to other clubs and the place that most of them go is treated as the next reiteration of the closed club. But it never really is.

I regularly pass Pin Ups and it is open. I haven't been in, but the lot is full by 10 pm.

I know there are rumors circulating and they have had their lawsuit wi the the local city.
Google says permanently closed if you search the business.
Does anyone know anything for sure certain?
Will they reopen in any way?
Relocate?
Gone for good forever?
I know the situation may be fluid but does anyone know the details of the situation at all?
