I know several area strippers and or escorts who were doing web camming and snapchat long before covid ever emerged. Some of them used it as a gateway to set up meets outside the clubs. I knew one who was pretty much straight laced in the clubs, but had ads up on SA, a Snapchat and OnlyFans channel and was selling meetings on them. Wouldn't play in the club, but was eager to "shoot content". Just another tool in the pantheon of the cash for gash crowd.

Sure there were several doing it before covid, but there are a LOT more doing it now. As far as using it to set up dates, cuidado mi amigos, be very careful. Those mediums (SC, OF, SA et al) are RIFE with scammers, much more now even than ever before.

They'll send you a fewer teaser pics to stir your interest and make often times vague promises of what they'll do on meetups. But once the hook is set they'll drop on you that you'll need to get a paid subscription to their premium content first (to "prove your seriousness" or "for their security to weed out the creeps or time-wasters" or some similar BS) OR they'll ask you to paypal / cashapp / vendmo them a deposit OR they'll ask you to "verify" yourself by getting a "free" or "low-cost" trial membership to some obscure verification / dating site where you have to enter your cc info and will have great difficulty cancelling the expensive recurring part hidden in the fine-print. Many of the ones you'll find on those sites aren't even really local (try getting them to reveal their location before you reveal yours), the pics are usually stolen too (so this scam is not really limited to out of work strippers or even women). Once they get your cash deposit / membership (or their kickbacks from the 3rd party sites) for simply BS'ing on-line, what motivation do the really have to actually put themselves out for the additional cash that was discussed (particularly if it was a bargain rate for a TGTBT girl). Sure, there may be some legit providers mixed in with these scammers, but they're getting increasingly fewer and farther between with the huge influx of scammers since the pandemic began, to the point these medium are becoming virtually useless. We've all been seeing this on the more traditional escort sites like LC, EB and STG.

I guess that's news to me. I did some research and I guess when Microsoft took over Skype they revised their TOS in 2018. It's silly. The only way anyone would know what went down afterwards were if there were screenshots with the skype watermark on them. I guess "swearing" isn't allowed either.

Man, I wouldn't have made it through my second deployment with my ex if it wasn't for skype LOL. Being stuck in the sandbox for a year plus with nothing but sand around you gets you that way!

Not a new idea. Already being widely done (or at least attempted) since the pandemic started and strip joints closed down. Maybe not through Skype but through similar mediums such as OnlyFans, Snapchat Premium and such.

It may work for them because (at least when they find some desperately horny sucker willing to pay) they get at least some money (albeit maybe not as much as they may have been making in the club) without having to put out nearly as much effort (e.g. they don't even have to touch our nasty old dicks or let us paw them and they still get the money). There also may be some benefit from the greatly reduced risk of covid spread, but from what I've seen of girls in that age bracket there's not nearly as much concern about that as there is by some of us old farts.

So the advantage for them is clear. They get the money, have to do relatively very little for it and, as a minor bonus, avoid covid. The advantage for us is much less obvious.
