It looks like it would be better without teeth on the part you have to hold and then start the slider on. If you need to use those teeth, that's a thick ass door. Maybe if you're fucking a bank teller in the vault and you don't want anyone walking in, you might have the slider all the way back there.

Posts: 49I agree! It would be my hope that these "Thugs" MIGHT, and I know it is doubtful, realize that they could be dead and maybe think about another career path. Just my opinion!

Posts: 204I believe I met him once or twice.
But never in the field. Attended many a seminar and gun expo, not gun show in which I remember his name. Cops generally stayed in groups and contractors stayed in their own groups.

Portland, Minnesota, Georgia, the hot spots in the US point towards a near coming Civil War. Its only escalating year after year. You can blame it on Trump, but history shows its been ramping up for many Presidents so far. Every civilization goes through any number of Civil Wars, and because we are the great old US does not hold us exempt.

But I legally carry, a pistol on my body and an M4 in my vehicle. I have a bugout bag full of ammo, 1st aid, water and fire making instruments, food and water rations and medication. Call me Johnny Rambo if you wish, but when shit hits the fan, will you be prepared? I know I will be!

Posts: 88This one seems pretty good, though judging by the reviews the notches might need to be filed down a bit deeper to catch better.

Good thing, but It's also important to be very aware of your surroundings, pay attention to details and not put yourself in foolishly risky situations? About 50 years ago (yeah, I'm an old bat!) I was very well trained beginning at Parris Island, SC; but also a number of other places. My Rambo days are long gone, but my time with 2nd Force Recon in Vietnam made me extremely tactically ready! It really taught me the art of not being ambushed because you took proper precautions in the first place and didn't miss little details!!

You're needed in Portland, we'll suffer along while you're gone and follow you on the National news, under an assumed name of course.

Posts: 510Maybe try the upgraded one, I've got the original and I'd say it's maybe more useful at an airbnb, but not with commercial / hotel door hardware.

I'm just going to bust in here and say I'd like to think I'd have the same demeanor as Johnny in this situation, but who knows. Honestly it's a thought that gets the blood up. Even in a younger guy.
I consider myself an average white-collar monger, but can do the blue-collar all day long. Often that's preferred to me. However, I don't have the experience outlined by Johnny.
Lessons learned are everywhere in this story. The riskiest situation I ever put myself in was nowhere near this tale, but the account is a fantastic reminder to be prepared and trained.
Just wanted to say; Thank You Johnny. I was trying to get a hold of her and your timing is most appreciated.

Posts: 204Different strokes for different folks.
Let me give you some background, I spent 1 year in Kuwait in the 1st Gulf War, and 1 year in the 2nd Gulf War. I was a Military Contractor in Afghanistan but didn't make it to Iraq. I used to live and thrive in and for combat. Most of us that spent time in Combat are not talked about, only the ones that did not come home, or were injured or came down with PTSD. I do not have PTSD as an example, fireworks make me sleep like a baby. Very soothing. But with that said, I lost a lot of brothers whether they lost their lives or not. Up until a couple years ago, I taught Combat Weapons Training to LE in the Tampa Bay area at a nonspecified outdoor shooting range in the Pinellas area. I am not a cop, nor even associate with them. But the point of all that is, I have the means and the training to get myself out of most inopportune circumstances that I may put myself in.

So to quit because of a few circumstances that would appear to be beyond someone elses comfort zone, in all actuality is still in my comfort zone. I post to educate others, I could stop posting, and just read and take in the information that I need and fuck everyone else. But I believe that most would like to know who is a potential bad date, or who maybe the popo. I sure take that info as a good level of intel myself.
