Way back in the day I knew a few managers and they seemed to help with the quality and reliability of their providers. It seems now mongers think they need to only hire an independent contractor. And the mongers are realizing not all providers are capable of running their own business. Only for discussion sake, if a senior monger on here were to provide quality control and have a reasonable deposit request that is credited to your session would you consider a deposit? I'll be the first to say I would consider it. Short of legalizing this entertainment industry like in Nevada I'm not sure how else to address the concerns and issues.

While I understand the Provider wanting a deposit to assure the client will not stand them up. Let's face this happens. There are just too many of the Providers with " issues" that can easily translate into the potential for ripping off the client. So my advice would be to never give a deposit. I know I will not. Never Ever pay a deposit!

I learned my lesson long ago about "deposits" and "I need to feed my daughter today" money, but have also had deposits work in my favor. They had a long drive and understood I'd be charging back the $50 if they failed to show.
