Update* My reversal transaction went through today. Just checked my bank account. I suggest when meeting new girls we all should start using cashapp for this specific reason. Yeah, no. It's great you got your money back but you now have a paper trail between you and a provider. You've just lost plausible deniability.

Deleting your account is meaningless, any business has to keep records of credit card and electronic transactions for 7 years by law and your bank will have a record, too. I would suggest you never use anything but cash in this hobby for your own long-term safety. Sure, you can lose cash and that sucks but it would suck worse to get your name in the paper.

NEVER deal with a provider in any way that can lead directly back to you.

Just tell them your card got stolen and you do not recognize the transaction that you're seeing. Once you're bank adds credit to your account they'll go after square cash which in turns force square cash to pull the money back from that particular individual due to the lack of funds.

Yea I should have done that. The transaction was through cashapp. What I just learned is that if my bank reverses the pending transaction from cashapp, cashapp will then pull the funds from that person's account and will show a negative amount on that person's bank account. I made sure to get up early today and have already made a claim and my bank has already began the process of reversing the transaction. Good thing. I wonder how big of a smile that person has now that their account is negative.
