I generally agree with your spider sense. I would just call it a scam though. Here's my checklist:

1. None of her pics are selfies.

Drove by yesterday just to see what was up. LQ, Fairfield, Hilton, Marriott Courtyard all had LEO in lot. Several lots were partially blocked-off with people under tents just sitting there.
