You may not want to come across that way, but you sure don't seem to be trying that hard. Why are you uncomfortable with going to a hotel room to meet someone who is potentially a scammer or worse, but you are okay with inviting this potential thief to your residence, giving away your location in the process? Now the person knows whether it might be worth their time to break in and peek around while your away.
