OK, that's what I thought. There have been a couple of news stories regarding those bills getting into circulation in Milwaukee. High quality counterfeit bills that had some of the security measures replicated fairly well. That would definitely get attention from SS. Several cities were hit around the same time, heard it could have ties to organized crime or from foreign source.

They were $20 bills. We had received over $100 in one night and it was a secret service agent I had to speak to.

WOW the memories of Northpoint. That place back in the days was so much fun. A bunch of friends would spend a mens weekend up in area and nightly go visit that place. Many of times we had some of the ladies visit us during the next day to spend time on the lake with us. Always made a fun weekend.

Called her up yesterday afternoon. Talked for a bit, she seemed really down to earth and nice. Made an evening appointment. I was really looking forward to it. Were your counterfeit bills of the $20 variety passed a couple years ago? I know there has been some serious action around the state the past two years with $20's and I heard some $10's. I left banking more than 10 years ago but have serveral close friends still in the business. I know they were put on high alert with those denominations.

BTW, here's a good example of someone being arrested by local police for passing counterfeit currency without any involvement by the SS. I have a cabin near this city and heard about it from a neighbor:

I work in a bar and we had it happen to us, they come and question to get a description of the person. Their other job besides protecting the president is they handle ALL counterfeit claims or incidents. We didn't catch it and turned it into the bank.
