Seems the FDA relaxed its rules, allowing companies to get their antibody tests to the US at a faster rate. Only problem is, half of the crappy test kits are coming from where else? The country that started this pandemic in the first place: China!

But that is how the Orange Turd is going to get the country open by May 1. Importing shit test kits from China. And the real zinger is the news organizations and government are interchanging between antigen and antibody testing, implying they are the same. THEY ARE NOT the same. Antigen testing only shows you have been exposed to the virus and those antigens only exists in the body for 4 to 6 weeks. Antibodies are the immune system response to the virus, this proves you have immunity to whatever degree that maybe (remember influenza is the same family of virus as COVID and we have to get a shot every year). So is showing up are the antigen tests which aren't worth shit except to make people feel good until they get sick again because they fuck up and stopped social distancing. A reliable antibody testing is still a few months away, and even then they will only be probably 80% accurate initally if history is any indicator of previous antibody tests (took almost 2 years for a reliable SARS antibody test).

I think you're over-thinking it. The predicted death toll has already been downgraded from 200,000 to less than 40,000 nationwide, and will likely further decrease as the case numbers decline.

As far as the clubs go, I think the recovery will take until at least Christmas because once everyone goes back to work most people are facing overdue bills of all kinds. Mortage payments, rent payments, car payments, credit card payments, etc. Having fun money to spend at the strip clubs will be in short supply. Also, many employers see the cost savings of a stay-at-home workforce so the majority of them won't return to a full payroll in awhile and a decent chunk of people will remain unemployed. Plus, there is already threats of a rebound pandemic wave hitting us in the fall. So add it all up and it looks rough until December and hopefully a return to normal by early next year.

However, if there is a serious 2nd wave hitting us at the end of the year then all bets are off. Another two-month lock down would be fatal for many businesses. I'd say at least half of all clubs will close permanently if that happens.

Testing is the key, specifically antibody testing to start getting an idea how many asymptomatic people there are because once we do I'm betting that mortality rate drops to. 0 something percent. Once people see that then the risk groups can self isolate, and those that won't die from it can keep life going.
