I have mongered in Costa Rica; fly into the capital San Jose (SL) (3-4 hour flight about 500-1 k dollars, at that time), you can change money at the airport is better (imo), you can do it at the hotel but its a higher fee. There are certain taxis you want to use (can't remember which company), most people speak enough English for you to get buy, but knowing (or trying) Spanish goes a long way to increasing your enjoyment. Customs are pretty lax, however, I would not take drugs that you don't have a prescription for (obviously no illegal drugs, this goes without saying but I know people who have LOL). YOu can legally buy Cialis, Viagra, etc. Take the cab ride from the airport to the hotel, the safest and IMO best place to monger in SJ is the Hotel Del Ray (HDR), its in the old city and is an older hotel. Rooms vary from 50-150. I recommend a room away from the roads as they can be very busy and noisy. The HDR has a casino on the main floor, large lobby, and multiple bars. The ladies hang out at the bars or slot machines. ALL types and from all over central and south america and the Caribbean It wasnt until my 2nd trip there that I actually did a girl from Costa Rica!

The girls can be lazy to aggressive. I have gone up to a girl playing slots and asked to hang out, to them come up to me looking to party.
