Not all hotels within the chain offer it. It has to be one that has doors that do not require a key slide or insert, but just a tap. It's a bluetooth app. Thus, either new hotels, or recently remodeled ones.

Posts: 196Aside from that one hotel, do you find that phone check-in works? The two times I've tried skipping the front desk (2 separate hotels), it gave me the option to choose a room from the floor plan, but then I had to go through the front desk anyway because the room I chose wasn't available.

Correction to my post. She quoted me $5. And wouldn't budge. Told her I couldn't and she understood but told me she would rock my world LOL. I love her look but I just can't do it.

Posts: 3I haven't heard of them doing it yet and the Hilton Dulles seems to be the only one in the area that has Day Use rooms available when I search through the app. Of course, you can use the other Day Use sites but can't then use the app, which is really amazing. Check in on your phone and then it becomes a digital key. I love being able to walk right in and never having that awkwardness of showing my I'd from only a few miles away.

Posts: 551Quick tip / old report
CireSire talked about her 8 days ago. When using this forum's search feature to see any reports on a specific SA profile, the best way is to copy the end of the URL and paste in the search bar. If you go by user name, you'll either get a myriad of wrong answers or none at all as some use underscores, dashes, capital letters, weird symbols, you get the idea. So in this instance, you copy-search "20e81847ea92" and you'll likely have better luck.

(P. S- For some reason, this forum keeps putting spaces after each period and dash, which throws off the abbreviated example link I gave. Not sure why, but please disregard. The tip I gave about using URLs will indeed work better than looking up user names. Cheers!
Anyway, this is CireSire's post from late last month:

Posts: 1173That's a great idea, especially the day room hotels near airports. It's a perfectly normal use of these rooms to relax on long layovers.

Posts: 3I realize this isn't what you're asking, but in case it's an option for you, this has what's worked best for me. Get the Hilton Honors app and book Day use rooms at the Hilton Washington Dulles through the app. The app can act as a key so you never need to go to the front desk. Can delete the app and reinstall as needed in case you don't want it on your phone. You can pay with a reloadable Visa prepaid card that you connect to your account. No need to ever go to the desk or have anything show on your bills.
