This is the first time I have heard anyone report this, very interesting. As I have posted before, there are network tools the webmaster can use to track users, and it may be possible that your IP addy, or other identifiable features in the device you used to register may have been flagged before. I was in the same boat as you a few months ago (arguably still new) - some guys have listed girls that are easy to easier for noobs to see.
