Original poster was "needing" a review so I threw him one in a sarcastic manner since he felt the "need" to come on the board demanding info when in fact he's got shit for contribution. Maybe I read his post wrong but that's the vibe I was getting.

My apologies for jumping your ass. I just get so sick of the overly sensitive bullshit day in and day out. I do not agree with your assertion that calling it a "China Virus" will get people killed, I think that is overly dramatic. If people are going to kill people, this isn't going to be the trigger.

They know communism doesn't work so they basically have "special economic zones" within the country where most of the factories are located otherwise they wouldn't have a dime to support their ideology. Weird huh.
If anyone is going to be a sensitive pussy or needs a safe space, get the fuck out.

You did not do a good job of reading what I said before reacting.

I also did not claim that the Chinese had it "under control. " I said that they had lied about it, and pointed out that high level officials in our government had done the same.
I did have a typo in my post. I meant CPAC, not APAC.
I haven't logged into Facebook for years, and I vet my information sources against reality. I read deep and I read wide. You claiming that "people like me" are propagating misinformation is a broad and incorrect assertion.
It's well documented that racial prejudice results in significantly worse healthcare outcomes for people with otherwise equivalent health backgrounds. People of asian descent (regardless of whether or not they are ethnically or nationally Chinese) are getting some shitty treatment these days in Europe and the United States, encouraged by the use of language that denigrates them. I know this for a fact, from friends of mine that are asian (but not, actually, Chinese).
Regardless of how shitty a job the Chinese government did handling the virus, or how much they lied about it, blaming the Chinese, as a people, is laughably ignorant. I'm a proud American, and I love my country, but when I go abroad, do I blindly support every action my government has taken? Fuck no.
I'm not interested in a broad political argument on the internet, and if I were, I wouldn't pick this as a venue.
ALL I WAS ASKING was that you take into consideration that contributing to the momentum blaming asians for our predicament WILL KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE. I'm not for killing innocent people, and I hope I can safely assume you're not, either.

We all know him by now, he reacts to governance and responsibility the same way I do if my wife caught me cheating. Deny and lie as long as possible (his quote below).
"Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus. You know that, right? Coronavirus. They're politicizing it. We did one of the great jobs, you say, "How's President Trump doing? "Oh, nothing, nothing. " They have no clue, they don't have any clue. They can't even count their votes in Iowa, they can't even count. No, they can't. They can't count their votes. One of my people came up to me and said, "Mr President, they tried to beat you on Russia, Russia, Russia. " That didn't work out too well. They couldn't do it. They tried the impeachment hoax. That was on a perfect conversation. They tried anything, they tried it over and over, they've been doing it since he got in. It's all turning, they lost. It's all turning, think of it, think of it. And this is their new hoax. ".

The president never said it was a hoax, take the media's dick out of your mouth. If you actually believe that the Chinese have this under control, then you believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and other fairy tales. It’s people like you that just spew shit that is read on Facebook or other sites without digging into that makes this so much worse. The media edited this so it appears he said it, then it was spread by celebrities and the like.

During the speech he also seemed to downplay the severity of the outbreak, comparing it to the common flu.
What's False
Despite creating some confusion with his remarks, Trump did not call the coronavirus itself a hoax.”

Well finger pointing get us no where. The Chinese government reacted poorly in the beginning but then got their act together and managed to confined the virus. Now is up to the rest of the world to do the same and the US is front and center with probably 150,000 cases confirmed by now.
On another note. Has anyone done late night runs lately. Are cops stopping folks late at night?

I'm not the least bit worried about offending anyone, but rhetoric of this type kills people. Literally kills people. So, please stop propagating it. Not the least because most Americans are too uneducated to even manage to notice which generally asian types are Chinese (which, of course, is actually composed of a bunch of different ethnicities).

So, now that our official government mouthpiece has lied about it, does that mean that anyone downstream of our shit gets to call it the American virus? Makes the same amount of sense. About zero.
FWIW, China is kinda big. So, if you were going with the "region they originated from", Wuhan would at least be more accurate.
Stick with Covid-19, even though that's actually the name of the respiratory disease, not the virus. Kinda like AIDS is caused by HIV, but actually refers to the disease not the virus.

COVID-19 is highly contagious. Estimates are that 1/3 to 1/2 of the United States will get it.

There is no treatment for COVID-19 yet. Go check the CDC website.a drug that is showing 100 percent success rate..
I have never heard of anyone thinking that. Mortality rates are hard to estimate with the disease so new, but estimates by segment of the population range from less than 1% to over 15% for the elderly, with an average mortality rate around 1. 5 to 2%. If 1/3 of the US gets it, and mortality is 2%, that's over 2,000,000 dead. That's almost 5 times as many as our casualty count in World War 2. Every family will be affected by this. Every workplace will be affected. Every government organization on every level. I think that's a perfectly valid reason for fear.I think the scare is everyone thinks if you get it you die, which is not the case.
Good advice.do more research on it.

So, I've been wondering, since the monger community only makes up a small fraction of the wider base of clients for SWs, how do non-mongers even find or spot SWs in a city like Jax? We don't have anything as convenient as fig. Street, the local gov has a hard-on for legislating ppls sex lives, jso has a heavy presence, and SWs don't wear nearly as identifiable clothing (or lack thereof) like in other places. It's not like non-mongers would know about sc or have, etc.
And they wouldn't go out of their way too far lo look, either.
In all my time in Jax, before I accidentally stumbled across this forum, I'd had no idea what to or where to look. The only time I can think of where it might have been an SW was when I was at a gas station and she came asking for money. At the time I'd simply assumed she was a panhandler or scammer. Penny didn't drop until many years later.
Just something I was curious about. Any insights?

Posts: 345"While it's unlikely that the "Spanish Flu" originated in Spain, scientists are still unsure of its source. So you do realize the Spanish flu originated in Kansas right. Swine flu was also originated in the USA. But we don't call them the USA flu. Its just funny to me you are trying to make a point about the media and you yourself is spreading wrong information.

I think American virus might be more fitting name since soon we (the US) will be the epicenter. The irony is regardless how we call it or how much greater population China has (or India) Americans will be the hardest hit. Yes, number one but nothing to proud of. Hopefully, I'm proven wrong.
