Seeking Arrangement is like a second full time job. To say that it is a lot of work is an understatement. You are correct that you can find some gems on there if you are really persistent. They are there as are the bots, catfishers, scammers, and a range of others who will chew up your time.

Would seem to me the site could filter out all that garbage course maybe they get paid somehow for the trash ads?

I've been spending some time dabbling on that site (which does require a subscription fee to contact anyone). It takes a lot of time and effort to wade through all of the fakes, flakes and scammers there, but occasionally you can find something worth tapping at a reasonable price point.
