I turn 69 next month and I do not think age has anything to do with it. As long as you can get it up and they will take your money what does age have to do with it! Age has very little to do with it especially for men.

Inspired by a good friend who is still going at age 78 I got quite a few more years of fun ahead. Plus ole Bobby Kraft from Boston is still going strong at the same age. Wow. I just wrote a rather lengthy response, but I think the site has dumped it. The short answer is that I am 74, having survived prostate cancer and a series of strokes.

Thanks Bullett, your post helped me get everything I need. Longevity in the hobby is really a little more important to me than most because I am looking at relocating my family (I'm retired and 61 as stated earlier) from SC to the suburbs of ATL. There is nothing for me here hobby wise so I really want easier access and no more 5 hour round trip drives. It's going to cost me at least 120 K more for a house that my family will find suitable so being the analytical sort I'm balancing the cost and inconvenience of moving with how long I will enjoy the benefits of less driving and wasted time. Leaning toward the home purchase and just picking the right spot that gets me close enough to the clubs etc. , while being far enough out to avoid enormous traffic jams everyday. If I go another 5-6 years then the math works for me. Thanks.
