Went out around 10 am saw nothing on the day after X-Mass, between Oak Ridge and beach line. Went back out around 5:30 pm between Beach line BK to the Best Buy. Probably along the lines of "this guy in a truck pulled a knife on me and demanded my phone!

That's the thing about these claims of 'stolen' phones: how does that happen? Is there this huge black market for stolen ho phones? I don't think so. Although I can certainly see some low-life lifting a phone (and everything else) from some homeless SW who's laying there, stoned out of her gourd. But, mostly, whoever's doing the stealing is looking for candy more than anything and everything else gets pitched in the nearest dumpster (including the phone).
